![]() ![]() Mark R. Warner is the Managing Director of Columbia Capital Corporation, an Alexandria, Virginia-based investment company specializing in emerging technologies. Mr. Warner has been involved in the wireless telecommunications industry for over 15 years and is a strong advocate for Virginia's technology industry. In 1996, Mr. Warner ran for the United States Senate on a platform of harnessing the "Technology Revolution" to increase educational and economic opportunity for residents of the Commonwealth. Mr. Warner has been active in Democratic politics for more than 20 years. He served as chairman of the Democratic Party of Virginia from 1993 to 1995 and as campaign manager and transition director for Doug Wilder's gubernatorial campaign in 1989. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Warner was a member of the Commonwealth Transportation Board, and from 1993 to 1996 he served on the Advisory Board of the National Institute for Health Care Management. In addition, Mr. Warner is the Founding Chairman of the Virginia Health Care Foundation, a public-private partnership which provides health care to more than 100,000 Virginians. Mr. Warner currently serves on the boards of the Medical Care for Children Partnership, the Presidential Investment and Services Policy Advisory Committee, the National Democratic Institute and the Executive Board of the Northern Virginia Business Roundtable. In addition, he serves on the boards of Virginia Union University, The George Washington University, and the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges. Mr. Warner is also involved with the Alexandria Boys & Girls Clubs, the Metropolitan YMCA, the United Community Ministries and the Alexandria Volunteer Bureau. Mr. Warner is a graduate of The George Washington University and Harvard Law School. He currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife, Lisa, and their three daughters. |
