On October 1, 1995, The Potomac KnowledgeWay Project met its initial seed
funding goal of $500,000 and has since begun efforts to secure its multi-year
operational funding. Seed funding came from over 50 sponsors, led by a generous
investment grant of $150,000 from Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology(**).
Gold, Silver and Bronze categories represent investments in the Project and the
community at a minimum of $10,000, $5,000, and $1,000 respectively. Those noted
with an asterisk (*) have made significant pro bono contributions in time and services,
in addition to their financial sponsorship.
